Slack Wax characterizes:

Slack Wax is produced during the production of Group I lube base oil. During the production of Group I base oil, the feedstock first has to go through a solvent extraction process to remove aromatics and the resultant product is called raffinate. The raffinate is then diluted with a solvent like methyl-ethyl ketone (MEK) to lower its viscosity to improve low-temperature filterability. The diluted oil is chilled to -10°C to -20°C. Wax crystals will form, precipitate, and be removed by filtration, and the removed wax becomes Slack Wax. According to the refinery process of this product, Slack wax is categorized into two types: Heavy and Light. Light Slack Wax is mainly used to produce paraffin wax. Slack is a mixture of oil and wax in yellow or brown color, slack wax is processed by pressing to decrease the oil content and discoloring by special powders after heating to produce paraffin wax.

Slack Wax application:

All types of slack wax are used as blending components or waterproofing agents in the manufacture of various industrial products. it is also used in emulsions, construction boards, matches, candles, rust protective products, and moisture vapor barriers, polishes, inks, carbon paper, and externally can be applied as good dust suppressants or controlled-release agents for various chemicals and fertilizers.

suitable packing for Slack Wax:

Slack wax is packed in new or cleaned second-hand 180 kg drums, ISO tanks, and Flexi tanks. Each 20-foot container takes 80 drummed slack wax.
